Het mooiste voordeel bij aankoop van de RS500, behalve de spectaculaire zeilervaring, is om deel uit te maken van de enorm enthousiaste en snelgroeiendeRS500 vloot in Nederland. Toen Willemijn (stuurvrouw) en ik (bemanning) de boot vorig jaar kochten, konden we niet hopen op een betere groepconcurrenten/vrienden. De RS500 is onze "quality time" in het weekend, aangezien we onlangs beiden gestart zijn met full-time werken in de gezondheidszorg. Als Nederlandse voorzitter is het geweldig om te kunnen bijdragen aan de sfeer die de RS500 brengt op de Nederlandse zeilscène. Allebegin is moeilijk, maar met zo'n spectaculaire boot en actieve leden, zal de Nederlandse RS500 Klassenorganisatie snel uitgroeien tot een gewaardeerdedinghyklasse worden in Nederland.

My Winning Tip
Make time to practice away from racing. 1 hour focussed training can be worth 10 hours racing.
Keep a sailing diary and record what you learn - don't make the same mistake twice.
Sail the boat flat. The flatter you are the faster you go.
